Hello and welcome to my website. I'm lynx. I'm a hobbyist webcoder/programmer based in Europe with interests in birding, swimming, haiku, games, puzzles, and tea. Here you can find a list of all the birds I've seen (organized by when they were first spotted) and some photos I've taken, among other things.

Bird tracker
I like to go birding in my free time. It's fascinating to watch the variety of species change with the seasons and a bit alarming to see how distributions of certain species shift as more of the area is claimed by concrete and steel. But it is also just, generally, quite peaceful to watch a bird about its business.
I encourage you to go out, meet and learn the names of your feathered neighbours.

Photos
Photography is an old hobby of mine. I've picked it up and put it down several times; I also, briefly, studied it at university. I've always felt more comfortable behind a camera than in front of it, content to be an ever-present but invisible observer in the world.

Equipment
I primarily use an aging Nikon D50 that I've had since my university days. When I don't bring that along, my phone camera suffices.
